Ingence is an ongoing project. Be kind and constructive, and assume good faith. Say what you disagree with, not what you think of the person.

Getting help

• Questions, ideas and problems: write to hello@ingence.org.

• A security problem: write to hello@ingence.org as well, and say that it is one.

A good question gives the version (ingence --version), your system and Python version, the command you ran, what you expected and what happened. Describe your folders in words.

ingence teach shapes -p PROJECT prints the shapes of your file and folder names without the names. Reporting a problem without sharing your data says what to leave out and how.

Ingence is supported on:

• Python 3.12, 3.13 and 3.14.

• macOS 13 or later, on Apple silicon (arm64) and Intel (x86_64).

• Windows 10 and 11.

• Ubuntu Linux LTS releases.

How Ingence is updated

Andrew Bazley releases updates as they are developed, or as the community finds them. Ingence does not check for updates. To suggest a change or share your own, write to hello@ingence.org.
